The ability to export to Microsoft Word is only available in Version 5 of the Text Editor.  If the Firm default Text Editor is Version 5, you will see the option to switch to Version 4 on the top right hand corner of the Text Editor.

To set the Header and Footer settings for the Word export, scroll to Word Export Options at the bottom of the Text Editor.

To export to Word, click the Word Document icon.

If the icon is not visible, click the three vertical dots to see all menu items.

When you click the Word Document Icon, you will see a spinning icon in the top right hand corner of your screen which indicates that the Word Document is being produced.

The Word document will be downloaded to your computer.  When you select Save As from your word document, the default name will be the name of the document and the date:

Please note that once your Word document is generated and saved it is no longer connected to Prolegis, therefore, if you make any changes to your file, you will need to generate a new Word document.

If you make any changes in the editor before producing the word document, please ensure that you save your pdf within Prolegis so that you have a true copy of the document generated in word.

If you would like your Word document to open up immediately rather than downloading the document and then having to click on the download, right click over the downloaded document and select ‘Always open files of this type’.

If you would like your documents to open up in Edit mode instead of View mode, you will need to adjust your settings, by clicking on File, Options, Trust Centre, Protected View, and uncheck ‘Enable Protected View for files originating from the internet. Please check with your IT department before proceeding with this this step.
