What do I do when a PDF has a barcode?

Royal Bank, Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce and Bank of Montreal each have forms that require a barcode. The Prolegis team is working on a solution to PDFs with barcodes. In the mean time, we thought we’d provide suggestions on how to quickly, easily and accurately complete these documents.
The barcoded PDFs are not shown in Prolegis. This is to avoid producing that document in Prolegis as doing so would result in the barcode not producing properly.
Some common barcode documents are located at the following lender websites:
Royal Bank of Canada
https://www.rbcroyalbank.com/legalforms/ab-residential.html
https://www.rbcroyalbank.com/legalforms/ab-collateral.html
Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce

Bank of Montreal
Once you’ve downloaded the required document, open the document in Adobe.
Open Prolegis, and position it so it is side-by-side with Adobe.

By navigating to the New Mortgages action and clicking on the “i” icon next to the matter number at the top of the page, you’ll have access to the most, if not all, of the information you will need to complete the barcoded PDF. Highlight and copy the information in Prolegis and copy it into the Adobe document. If you are copying a number with a comma for a thousands separator, you will need to remove the comma before Adobe will allow you to copy it. In Prolegis, delete comma and immediately highlight and copy.
Please note, all other PDF documents for Royal Bank of Canada, Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce and Bank of Montreal can be completed using Prolegis’ auto-complete features in the PDF editor.
