Matter Number Settings

- (if not already in the general settings window) Click "Practice" to deploy the Practice menu.
Click "Settings" to deploy the Settings menu. Click “General"
- Select "Matter Number Generation Strategy" - Prolegis provides for 3 number generation strategies
- Year and Month - deal number for the month
- Matter type - Number (firm total)
- Manual
If you are using practice management software that generates a matter number for you, Select "Manual" and you will be given the option when creating the file in Prolegis to enter the matter number.
- Click “Save”
- Adjust User Billable Rate - The user enters her or his billable rate here. This information may be used to
populate documents in the system. If there is a firm default billable rate in the system, firm default billable rate will be used in produced documents.
- Click "Save"
